Hi, I'm Istvan — a systems thinker, writer, and long-time small business owner based in the hills of Transylvania. I started as a programming employee, then spent a few years freelancing before building my own business, where I've worked alongside my colleagues and fellow freelancers for the past two decades. This journey gave me a front-row seat to the real challenges (and rewards) of independent work as well as running a small business.
I created PlanArty as a practical productivity system designed to help freelancers and small business owners stay focused, manage their time more effectively, and make space for what matters.
When I'm not building tools or writing about productivity, I'm usually out trekking, enjoying sci-fi marathons, or tending to my little garden and ducks.
