Worked for years as a social worker in the mean streets of New York, San Francisco and rural California. I learned that no one can be taken at face value; there are no \"normal\" people because humanity itself is abnormal. Currently interested in writing novels about the California Gold Rush. I reside on the edge of Clear Lake and often contemplate the dormant volcano across the way.
