What Did You Do to My Boy?

The night is dark. Russell is wandering on the beach, looking for Dick. He sees a body floating on the water, takes off his shoes, and worryingly runs towards it. He grabs the body, and with all his strength pulls it out to the beach.

The struggle to save the body made him run out of breath. He hopelessly turns the body and sees what he was afraid of; the corpse of Dick. He falls to his knees, touches his forehead on the corpse’s forehead, and starts crying his eyes out. “What did they do to you?”

He raises his head, looks at the city’s skyscrapers, and yells: “You bastards!”

Russell grabs his shoe, stands up, walks a few drunken steps towards the city, and throws the old shoe at them.

“What did you do to my boy, you bastards?”
