Lunch with Chris
It was Monday and I was at work. Christine was out on a business meeting and I was checking all the emails, sitting by the front desk with a cup of hot coffee.
The rain was hitting the window, there was a slight chill in the air and the leaves had started to turn different colours, a few already blowing off the trees and swirling in the wind. I was happy to be inside.
There were emails from clients, potential artists that wanted to sell their paintings and businesses, trying to sell us stuff we didn’t need. I had to re-read sentences over and over, not paying attention to it whatsoever. My mind was somewhere else completely.
I’d felt both happy and sad when I got up that morning.
