Combatants sought glory on the battlefield.  Today we see asymetric assaults and allegations  that can come from any area or enclave of Islamic  belief.

Many of today's religious assailants hide behind  masks and veils as they "war" supposedly in the way of and in the name of God to promote Islam.

In so many cases the faces behind the masks do  not spare their internal religious compatriots.  Increasing numbers are forced to flee seeking a  little peace and security somewhere else.

Ayatollah Khomenei's time spent in France and his return to Iran in our day is a lesson we  outsiders should never forget.

For many Islamic insiders, his journey outward to  return in triumph (or hijra) mirrored the Prophet Muhammad's actions of the 7th Century.

The depth of his cleverly and adroitly held hidden intentions still today are lauded by clerics and believers across the World of Islam. One can see  how his actions are being mimicked--perhaps not as adroitly--by protesting Muslim groups and  associations in areas of the world within and  outside the Middle East.
