Silver Palm
I am a palm tree.
In Florida I do live.
My trunk is tan.
My leaves are silver green.
I’m sitting here
By the edge of the drive.
My leaves branched out
Just like a fanning fan.
It is a mid-summer afternoon
I’m enjoying the day.
I’ve been watered lately
And am growing well.
I live a peaceful life
Not bothered by much.
I have survived many hurricanes
And can live to be more than a hundred.
