“That isn’t fair.” Joelle whispered as she left the

boss’s office.

She sat at her desk staring off.

“What’s up, Joelle?” Lani asked as she

approached my desk.

“Just trying to get some time off and Gabby said

I can’t.” Joelle explained.

Lani looked sad.

“Why? How long do you need off?” Lani asked.

“Just 3 days. Starting Monday.” Joelle replied.

“3 days? That’s all.” Lani confirmed.

Joelle nodded yes.

“Look, work on the jingles this weekend. Then

give me what you have and I’ll put everything

together and submit it on Tuesday.” Lani

suggested.

“You think that will work?” Joelle asked with

excitement.

“Why not? Its not like the boss is here

everyday” Lani said with a smile.
