Corin tries to argue that good manners at court are not appropriate in the country, Touchstone cleverly and wittily continues to argue the opposite. Touchstone and Corin have a comic debate (lines 40- 74). Touchstone wins the debate by making absurd comments and using ridiculous arguments. Thus, this scene also forms a parody on debating.
